I registered for a Virtual Open Call. What happens next?
After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your scheduled audition date. About a week before the audition, you’ll receive an RSVP email where you can select your preferred arrival time.
The night before your audition, you’ll receive a link to participate. You can log in anytime during the open hours on your audition day. Be sure to practice and come prepared! If you need to make any changes, simply sign in to your Performer Profile.
Is my arrival time my audition time?
Nope! Arrival time helps manage the crowd and ensure smooth operations, this is your time to check in. Auditions are first-come, first-seen, and typically last between one and two hours.
I can’t make my scheduled audition. What now?
No worries! You can submit a Video Audition or register for a different Virtual Open Call.
I am part of a group, how do I register?
Only one member of the group needs to register. This will ensure that all communication goes through the group’s Performer Profile, and you’ll receive one ticket for the entire group.
What are the eligibility requirements?

What if I am not a US citizen? Can I still audition virtually?
Yes. Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria may audition for America’s Got Talent.
How early can I get to the Audition?
Doors open at 8am and close at 5pm pacific time. You may enter the virtual auditions at any time during those hours. If you are early or late, as long as you arrive during those hours, you will be seen.
How long will I be waiting to audition?
Wait times vary as auditions are open to the public. Expect to spend two hours to go through your audition.
How long will I get for my audition?
You’ll have up to 90 seconds for your audition. Use this time to showcase the best and most exciting parts of your performance. Producers reserve the right to modify audition times.
Can I audition more than once?
You do not audition more than one time. All auditions are reviewed and considered. However, yes, you may submit a video and also attend a virtual open call.
I want to audition as a group and solo, is that possible?
Yes, you can audition as a group and as a solo act, or even in two different groups. However, you must register online for each act, using a different email address for each registration.
Not everyone from my group can make it to the audition. Is that okay?
While full group attendance is encouraged, you can add a YouTube link of your group to your performer profile. Before you audition, alert producers of missing members.
I am under 18 or have minors in my group. What do I need to bring to my audition?
Minors must have parental permission to audition and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Required documents include a photo ID (school ID or birth certificate) and a completed Personal Release Form with a parent’s signature. If the parent/guardian is not attending, provide a notarized Guardianship and Medical Authorization for Minors form and ensure the Personal Release form is also signed by the third party.
I am a singer what should I expect?
Singers typically perform acapella to avoid overpowering vocals with backing tracks. Prepare a verse and chorus of your song and have additional songs ready in case requested. Playing an instrument while singing is always allowed.
Will I find out if I make it to the next round of the competition at my audition?
No, we only notify those who are moving on. You will be notified by the end of March if you advance to the next round.
